Going back about a month, Dave had surgery to fix a stress fracture in his upper leg. This was caused by running up and down the soccer fields refereeing several games (too many). Initially the doctor thought it might get better on its own, but after about a month the fracture was growing so he said surgery was the only option. He had the surgery on January 29th. Here's a look at the beautiful new hardware he is now sporting.
It took 19 staples to close the incision.

He's still sore, but healing nicely. He has a little limp, but no need for his old man cane anymore. Yay!
Please keep up your prayers for Drew. CT scan showed a mass in his right chest cavity. We go to the surgeon on Thursday to find out his options. :(
