We had a girl day planned so Kellie left Chris with the doggie duties and waited for us to pick her up. We went to a terrific craft show with lots of tempting things to buy. We controlled ourselves and only bought a few things since there is yet another one next weekend. Katie got a little halloween broom thing to hang in her dorm room and a few bows for her hair -- bows are back in style, in case you didn't know. Kellie got a Christmas present for her mother-in-law and a Christmas tree advent wreath with doggie bones instead of candy, and I got two Christmas stockings that I'm gonna put Katie & Maddie's names on and give to the girls for St. Nick's day filled with goodies. Katie promised to forget all about them as soon they were in the bag.
After working up a hunger from all of our shopping, we went to a little Mexican restaurant down the road called Compadres -- one of our favorites. We enjoyed a nice lunch and good conversation together. :)
Then we took the leftovers home to Chris, checked up on Pogo and Katie played a little Guitar Hero.Kellie told me Pogo shivers when he goes outside now that it's been much cooler, so I bought him this nice little sweater on Friday. We decided it looked so cute on him we had to go get another one. He's one fashionable dog, don't you think? After a quick ice cream stop we dropped Kellie at her in-laws where they watched some of the OSU-Texas game.

Katie and I went back home and she brought me up-to-date on some of her new college friends. We looked at facebook pictures and just enjoyed some Mommy/Katie time before she headed back to school.
Not much later Kellie & Chris stopped by and we watched the rest of the football game. OSU gave them a great game, but couldn't get by #1 Texas. Darn! Today's headline is "Texas holds em." OU won their game against Kansas State, Yay! Tonight TU plays the University of Central Florida on national TV. Kickoff is 7:18 on ESPN, so you should watch. Maybe you'll get a glimpse of Katie. She made t-shirts with 4 of her friends that are T U L S A, so watch for her. I'm sure they'll probably show some of the campus too, so you really should watch. Go Hurricane!
While we enjoyed a fabulous girls day, Dave was on the soccer fields all day and Drew watched the OU game, then went out with some buddies to a fight. It was a very good day!
Hey Kim, gas is now down to $2.18 a gallon!!
